The Director, Advancement (Calgary) is responsible for managing the University of Alberta’s Calgary location and leading the planning, implementation and reporting on strategic activities and initiatives in support of university funding priorities. With a view to enhancing the profile and reputation of the University of Alberta within the Calgary region, the Director works collaboratively to expand and support corporate and foundation development activities, as well as relationships with individual donors and prospects. The Director identifies and communicates opportunities for leveraging relationships that will augment and support faculty-based fundraising and grow the University of Alberta’s presence and impact within the Calgary market.
The Director is a senior advisor on strategic issues from a Calgary perspective, including advising on specific relationships requiring attention from the University of Alberta. This position reports to the Senior Director, Faculty Development (Social Sciences); works closely with senior administration, deans and directors; and actively cooperates with university volunteers in Calgary.
