Community Living Society – Chief Financial Officer

Reporting the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a member of the CLS Senior Management Team and is responsible for the overall financial management, planning, and oversight of all finance, risk, and accounting services in accordance with established policies, procedures, and legislative requirements for CLS, as well as serving as CFO for the Community Living Housing Society (CLHS), the non-profit housing development entity controlled by the CLS.

The CFO will inherit a smooth-running financial operation that has the confidence of the Board, management, staff, funders, partners, and financial institutions. Building off of this strong foundation, the CFO is expected to go well beyond maintaining regular finance and accounting operations, serving as key partner and trusted advisor to a range of internal and external stakeholders, providing insights to operations, financial models for key initiatives, contractual oversight and risk analysis for partnerships, and input into key decisions about how to leverage CLS’s considerable asset base.
