The Director, Power of Work (POW) is part of the senior leadership team and is accountable for providing strategic guidance and mentoring to the Power of Work Managers, Coordinators and Coaches across Alberta. The role of the Director, POW is to oversee and ensure efficient operations of our POW department along with professional representation and advocacy of our mission related programs and activities in the community.
Reporting to the VP, Human Services (or designate), the Director, POW is responsible for the management of the Power of Work department funded through Person with Development Disabilities (PDD) and assisting the VP, Human Services in identifying new opportunities for our mission growth related activities.
In conjunction with the VP, Human Services, the Director, POW will support the development of the Corporate Planning Cycle and its components (e.g. Strategic Plan, Departmental Operating Plans, Corporate Performance Measures, Forecasting and Staffing Plans) ensuring integration, alignment and timely implementation of all components throughout the organization.
